Early Morning Strategy & The Quest for the Famous Coffee Cake Cookie
If you have ever tried visiting Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs on a weekend afternoon, you already know the story: virtual queues, hours-long wait times, and popular menu items sold out before you even reach the counter.
Following my recent visit to the grand opening of Six Ravens (the sister location from the same creative team behind Gideon’s), I left Disney Springs with a serious craving for one specific treat: the legendary Gideon’s Coffee Cake Cookie.
Because this limited-daily-run, half-pound monster cookie usually sells out by 1:00 PM (and often earlier), getting your hands on one requires a game plan. In our latest video guide, we head out to Disney Springs before 9:00 AM to show you how easy it can be to grab breakfast at Gideon’s when you know how to navigate the morning routine.
Pro-Tips for Visiting Gideon’s Bakehouse
Whether you are local or visiting Walt Disney World on vacation, keep these quick operational tips in mind before heading out:
- Park in the Lime Garage: If Gideon’s Bakehouse or World of Disney are your main priorities, park in the Lime Garage for the fastest, most direct walk. Parking in the Orange Garage adds unnecessary walking time.
- Arrive Early for Daily Specials: The Coffee Cake Cookie is an exclusive morning item that rarely lasts past early afternoon. Aim to arrive at the queue between 8:55 AM and 9:15 AM (doors typically open around 9:55 AM–10:00 AM).
- Payment Notice: Gideon’s Bakehouse does not accept Disney Gift Cards. Be sure to have a credit card, debit card, or cash ready.
Final Verdict: Is It Worth the $7.00 Price Tag?
At $7.00 (plus tax), a single cookie might sound steep—until you see it in person. Weighing in at over half a pound, packed with cinnamon crumble, and baked to perfection, this is easily a 5-star treat and one of the best snack values in all of Disney Springs. Pair it with a hot white chocolate mocha from Starbucks or a Gideon’s cold brew, and you have the ultimate Disney Springs breakfast.
